As running races become more and more popular and every year new races come onto the circuit, Running Free Magazine would like to show its support of these fantastic events, by endorsing those our readers think are the best.
The Running Free Magazine Awards – winners to be announced November 2012, will have eight categories:
- Best Marathon - Best Half Marathon,
- Best 10k - Best Ultra,
- Best Fun Run - Best Trail Race,
- Best Unusual Race & Best Inspirational Brand
What makes a race the best? There are many things to consider: location, time of year, distance, cost, size, scenic views, terrain, difficulty, facilities, goody bags, t-shirts, medals, atmosphere, pre-race information, parking… and much more.
